Ans : We are changing the domain name and complete email solution.
Ans : Just the domain name of your email id will change. For example, if your current email id is you@airtelbroadband.in, the new email id would be you@airtelmail.in

Ans : With this change, you will receive a mail id on a futuristic, scalable mailing platform. The new platform will be the basic engine for all future innovations on mailing and messaging.Further more the old id will be phase off in due course of time.
Ans : This change will be effective 15th February 2008.
Ans : Your existing mail-id will be valid for 3 months from 15th Feb.08. During this time period, all your mails sent on existing or new mail-id will be delivered to a common In-box and will be accessible thru new web-mail interface.
Ans : Yes. You will be able to receive emails on old email ids for a period of three months from 15th February 2007. For example, the mails for sanjay@airtelbroadband.in(the old email id) will be forwarded to sanjay@airtelmail.in (the new email id). This is being done for your convenience, to provide adequate time to update your contacts of your new email address. After 15th May 2008, only the airtelmail.in domain will remain active.

Ans : You need to send email request to customer helpdesk.
Ans : Yes, you need to enable SMTP & Pop3 / IMAP access through web mail interface and modify your E-Mail client as per instructions.
Ans : SMTP Server is - smtp.gmail.com and Pop3 Server is pop.gmail.com. Please note that SMTP Mail server requires authentication and you can use same settings as Incoming mail server. Also SMTP and Pop3 servers require encrypted connection (SSL).
Ans : The port of SMTP server is 465 and the port of Pop3 server is 995.
Ans : If you are using our fixed line services and have a mail id like user@airtelbroadband.in, only then it will change. Not otherwise.
Ans : We suggest that you set "Mail client signature" with the desired message. Also kindly rewrite headers to reflect the new email id.

Ans : No, we'll change the SMTP and Pop servers for airtelbroadband.in domain only.
Ans : No, the quota cannot be modified. We introduced that option because the default mailbox size was just 5 MB in old system, but in new version its > 6GB, Plus is dynamically increasing. So probably you'll no longer require that feature anymore.
Ans : No, we appreciate your enthusiasm towards new solution, but the server settings will be modified only on 15-Feb-08. So please change your records on 15th-Feb or after.
Ans : Well, our new mail system is as per international standards.Thus only Three special characters are allowed underscore (_), dot (.) and hyphen (-). Customer having any other character like & + etc will have to change to next available id.
Ans : Taking a customer centric viewpoint, you will continue to enjoy the email ids that you have created. However any unused capacity will be purged as per new plan.
